Our first time fishing.

I have always thought that fishing was for old men. I mean, I dont even eat fish, so why try and catch one you might ask? Tyson did it. He started asking me to take him fishing this last winter and I kept telling him to wait until it gets warm. Then one nice warm day Tyson came to me and said "mommy it warm now, can we go fishin"? I was in trouble, so i came up with a brilliant idea, I told him that fisherman were mean because they kill fish. It was then that he told me you have to catch them and throw them back. My brilliant idea did not work so well.
I am so lucky to have a sister-in-law who fishes. She saved me, I learned everything I know about fishing from them. While we were camping she and my brother taught us how to fish, and Tyson got his first fishing pole, i was saved!! Thank you Jenny!! You are a sweet heart!
I learned something that day, fishing IS fun! Yes, old men do fish, a lot, but so do other people geeze I was missing out. I even caught my own fish, for about three seconds. A few minutes before I caught him, I was complaining to my brother about how I could feel them tug on the line but that was it. He said he next time I felt it, tug the line upward to hook the fish. The next time I felt it I did just that, but, I may have tugged a little too hard because I flung that fish so high up over the boat that I ripped the hook right through its mouth! So, technically, I am a fish killer. Sorry little fish I did not mean to do it, I swear!

Jordon was the only one to really catch a fish that day. He said that it was the smallest fish he had ever caught.

Tyson loves camping!!!

A couple of weeks ago we went camping with my family. It was so much fun! Spencer was even able to take the whole week off to join us.

Silly daddy, sometimes I wonder if Spencer and Tyson are the same age at heart ;0)

Josie loves being on the boat, but only if it is not nap time! Can you tell by her wind blown hairdo?

Tyson playing with his cousins in the mud of course. Kids will be kids. I remember doing the exact same thing with my sister when we went camping with my dad. Remember Jenn?

As the summer draws to a close....

One more week of freedom for life. (tear) I have had the luxury of staying at home with my kids all summer. I finished my pre requisites at SLCC and have been working with a teacher to fix a mistake she made with my grade. grrr... Last week I spoke with the nursing departments secretary and was told that right now the waiting list for the nursing program is three years. I was devastated, but after much help from the Lord, the support of my husband and family AND the death of my laptop, thanks to Josie, I have decided to attend Stevens Henager College in Ogden. I will be able to get my medical specialties degree, and also my nursing degree, in the time it would take me to start the program at SLCC. YIPEE!!! So, starting September 1st, I will be on the road to making a better life for my children and getting into a home, yeah! I cant wait to be a home owner and maybe just maybe we will have another baby for Spen!!!
Speaking of Spencer, I am sooooo proud to announce that he just received a promotion!!! He is such a good worker, I am so glad that his job recognizes how hard he works for them!! btw, he has to be to work at 4AM and has only been late to work once! He leaves a half an hour earlier than he needs to, so he can catch the early bus from the parking lot to make sure he is on time, then sleeps for that 30 min in the break room. He was only late that once because his alarm clock did not go off when he needed it to. If it were me I would be late everyday! I have no idea how he can get up that early when he works so hard all day long! I am so proud of you Spennie!!
